ROTS
Hi Friends & Experts, My wife has an appointment to renew her H1B visa at Mumbai Consulate in March. I have a question related to her driver's license and if it could be a concern for upcoming Visa appointment. She had a driver's license from New York state where she was staying until March 2020. She moved to NJ in march and had her address changed officially at her workplace. When she was informed to work from home due to COVID, she moved to Michigan (where I stay) and resumed working for her company in NY remotely. During this time, her NY DL expired and we got a new license for her from Michigan State. She has not submitted AR-11 form to USCIS yet. And we plan to submit it soon to change the address in USCIS records from NY to NJ. Would having a DL from Michigan cause any concern during Visa stamping, since the address on file in her Employer's records is from NJ (and not MI)? Any help/info is appreciated. lovely
Not an issue w.r.t your upcoming visa appointment. Current address in DL is more of an issue when dealing with traffic violations/tickets etc...when they are sent to the old/wrong address and you are not informed on time and cannot take necessary action.
