With an eye on the future for my masters education, gaining further work experience by working in the US beyond the STEM OPT extension, I am looking to explore my possibilities regarding obtaining a green card. I have a maternal uncle who is a naturalised citizen and is a willing sponsor. Please note that I am aware of the fact that I am not eligible for a green card through the family route. What options do I have to plan ahead? What would be my best course of action and what are the timeframes am I looking at considering the possible routes that I can pursue, if any?
