garfield1211 Posted October 15, 2020 Report Share Posted October 15, 2020 Hi all, I received an RFE for my STEM OPT Extension application on August 18th 2020. In the RFE, it is written that I have to respond by November 13th 2020. It is also written that I have been allotted maximum time to respond and time period for responding cannot be extended. 8 CFR 103.2(b)(8)(iv). Recently USICS announced that they are granting a 60-day extension to respond to all notices received till Jan-2021 because of COVID. Considering I was granted ~90 days to respond to the RFE and 8 CFR 103.2(b)(8)(iv) states that all RFE responses should be received within 12 weeks of notice date no matter what, Will I be eligible for the 60-day extension in my case?
