I-485 Place of Birth

Hi,

I am in the process of filing i-485, i have a problem with the place of birth. The place of birth on the passport has my village name but the birth certificate has the city name even though both are in the same state. Should that name exactly match? Should i produce the birth certificate in this case or do i need to change the place of birth in my passport? If i change that in passport, will that create any issues since i have been in the US for past 10 years and all of my H1B applications are based on that passport?
