Birth place correction

HI All,

As you know, October 2020 VISA bulletin has significant improvement in priority dates, and my priority date is April 2016.

Due to priority dates becoming current with rapid pace, and my PERM was filed with EB3, I have a question regarding place of birth correction, my expired passport had birthplace "XYZ", whereas, renewed passport has corrected birth place as "ABC", and "ABC" birthplace is exactly as per my birth certificate.

 

To correct/update birthplace,

1. Do we need to refile labor/I-140 to correct/update the birthplace?
2. Or do we just need to update I-485 when the priority date becomes current and that form will update the corrected place of birth ?
3. Please advise whatever possible scenarios to make sure that I take actions immediately rather than waiting until the last moments.
