Filing multiple I-485 one as primary and other dependent

Hi All,

My wife is planning to downgrade her EB2 I-140 application(PD-June2013) to EB3 as per the October Visa Bulletin. I have my own I-140 approved on EB2 category with a priority date of Nov2012. Can I file myself as a dependent on her I-485 application, but still claim my spot on EB2 when the final action date becomes current in future?  If  its viable, will it void/revoke my EB2 application if EB2 filling or final action dates advance in future.

It is a bad idea to file multiple I-485s. If you want to change the underlying I-140 you can infertile the new I-140. See https://www.murthy.com/2013/07/26/interfiling-new-immigrant-petition-into-pending-i-485-case-part-1-of-2/
