Multiple I-485

Hello everyone

 Appreciate your help.

My spouse is applying for I-485 adjustment of status in eb3  (2012) and I am being added to his I-485,(based on October'2020 DF chart) at the same time I am also having approved I-140 EB2 (2012)

 

Now my question is : 

 

1. When EB2 dates are current can I apply for I-485 and add my spouse to my I-485, meaning  my spouse and I will be part of two I-485s which are in     processing/pending status.  

 

 Is this allowed ?

 

2. If yes then both the applications  will be in processing status what happens  when Final Action Dates are current ?

It is not a good idea to file multiple I-485s. To change the underlying I-140 use the interfiling process. https://www.murthy.com/2013/07/26/interfiling-new-immigrant-petition-into-pending-i-485-case-part-1-of-2/

I think you are OK to have multiple applications being processed concurrently.
