H1B extension

Hi All,

I wanted to apply for the H1B extension. My wife who has H4B is in india. She has her H1B valid until september 30 ,2011 and also has stamping until that date. She is planning to come here by end of may. Is it ok if I apply for the H1B extension and later apply for H4B extension once after she comes back? Or is it better for me to wait until she comes back so that we can apply together.

If ever i apply for h1b extension will she have any problems in the POE.
