They got to know through him that received a mail from the income tax department about a prior tax return and a response is expected within 20 days. If they want to provide a suitable reply, they will need to travel to India to gather the required docs. Has anyone been in a similar situation and what are the options one can avail? Any chance they could ask for an extension until they return? PS: sorry I could not find the most apt forum for this topic, hence using this one. Quote Link to comment
