priya54
Hi, I have a very complicated visa issue and need some guidance. I have my h1b valid until 2020 December. My current employer submitted pwd (08/01/2019) and we still did not get it.As per the company policy they only start recruiting after pwd is received. We got to know a week ago that the business division I am working under is going to get acquired by another company with effective date 01/01/2020.I am not sure if this acquisition classifies as successor in interest. Assuming it does not I have following questions can my current company continue to apply perm and eventually I140 even if I am not working for them. They might agree to support filing perm and I140 if it is legal. Can we start perm process on h4 ead and once i-140 is approved can I switch back to h1(if I dont use it fully). Quote Link to comment
JoeF
A forum is not the right place to discuss complicated issues, in particular with lots of specific stuff. Consult a lawyer one-on-one. Quote Link to comment
