suryas Posted October 22, 2019 Report Share Posted October 22, 2019 I am travelling to India through munich on a single reservation via Lufthansa On H1-b which is now expired.But have a I797 Approval I am an Indian Citizen .Will I need a german transit visa or can i travel without one.I have heard that the rules have changed recently I did contact both lufthansa and the german embassy in USA ,and did not get a definitive answer,Has anybody with a similar case recently travelled via Lufthansa The lufhtansa website states as below Arriving from and connecting to an airport outside the Schengen area: Usually no passport control is required, if you don‘t leave the gate area.
