user1513 Posted October 22, 2019 Report Share Posted October 22, 2019 My husband has a Spanish passport/ citizenship, but he is born in Iran. We have filed for a marriage based green card. USCIS sent a Request for Evidence for his Iranian birth certificate. We have a copy of the certificate, but the problem is that the birth certificate birth day is different than the passport. All his documentation has the birth day from the passport, only this birth certificate has a different day (one month and one day off from the passport). Somewhere along the line, it had been translated incorrectly. Whether it was a language issue, different calendar issue, or both.... How do we explain this to USCIS and/or what do we do?
