242(a) Simple Battery

Hi all, 

 

I have been charged with simple battery 242(a). The case is still pending. Worst case I will be doing probation and the case will be dismissed or it will be dismissed which my lawyer is trying to do. I have to go to India for h1b visa stamping. What documents should I take and what should be my approach? I contacted an immigration lawyer she said, it could be under the discretion of the consular officer to give me a visa or not. The complaint just says that I have been charged with simple battery and no description of the event.

Hi, What happend in your case? Did you get the visa without any issues? I am in a similar situation.
