Dushtu G
I have a revoked petition (revoked by USCIS) from the employer who had sponsored my first petition (picked in the lottery). I have switched to a new employer after that. I am planning to move to another (third) employer now and am wondering whether USCIS can revoke my current or future petitions based on the past revoked petition since it was the petition which was picked in the lottery. GCoder
unfortunately, if your original petition is revoked by USCIS, you will no longer be cap counted. you may face difficulties in future cap exempt petitions. Quote Link to comment
JoeF
Why was the first petition revoked? If it was for fraud then your current H1 probably isn't valid. If it was an administrative revocation due to you no longer working for the first employer there would be no issue. Quote Link to comment
Dushtu G
I am not sure why my petition was revoked. Is there a way to find out the reason. I tried reaching my ex-employer but they did not provide any information on this. Quote Link to comment
JoeF
If you leave an employer the employer by law is required to inform USCIS that you no longer work there. That will result in revocation of the H1 petition from that employer. This is likely what happened. It has no effect on you, in particular, you are still cap-exempt. Quote Link to comment
