I-94 extension after passport renewal with short term visa validity

Hello,

Here is my situation:

My Visa expires August 2019(First term visa, I dont have the second term Visa)

H1B renewal approved till Aug 2022

current I-94 valid till Feb 2020 (This happened because of passport expiry date during my entry at CBP - Renewed passport now)

I am live and work in east coast and happen to be in San diego on official purpose, Can i go to the Otay Mesa CBP office and get my I-94 extended till Aug 2022. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

let me ask you this question do you have stamped visa on the passport ??? with above info I assume that you have stamped visa until Aug 2019 only...

If you have stamped visa until 2020 Feb I suggest you to visit nearest CBP ofc other wise don't go .....
