vel771977 Posted June 16, 2019 Report Posted June 16, 2019 Hi, Case History: I came in H1-B to the US Entity of my company in India and my family were in H4. Within 18 months, my company changed my status from H1-B to L1-A and my family is in L2. We didnt got our passport stamped with 'L' Visa yet. After L1-A approval, company filed my I-140 in Mar'19 and waiting for approval. Problem Statement: For summer vacation, my family is going to India and they have to go for L2 stamping. Will there be any issue in getting L2 stamping as I havent got my L1 VISA stamped after my Change Of Status from H1-B to L1-A? Should I go with them for L1 stamping as it is mandatory for first time L2-Stamping. Quote
rocky127 Posted September 5, 2019 Report Posted September 5, 2019 1. No issues 2. Not mandatory Your I-797 approval by USCIS is sufficient for them to get visa stamped Quote
