nss2010
I am currently on H1B and have been accepted by college and received my i20. I am planning to travel back in May-April for stamping at US consulate at my home country. I want to continue working until the start of course. If my F1 is rejected, do i lose H1 also? If F1 is approved, can i come back on H1 and continue working until start of my college? If yes, how do i communicate to USCIS on when i would be starting my F1? would it be my last working day in current company? Would i need an entry stamp for F1 Quote Link to comment
JoeF
Consulates often cancel other existing visas when applying for a new one. If you enter on an H1 visa, you would have to leave the country and enter on an F1 visa to be in F1 status. Quote Link to comment
