H1B amendment to new role and soc code after i140

Currently I am working as a Manual QA Tester with soc code as '15-1199'.  My company has a new role for me as Software Developer it will have the soc code as '15-1132'.  I would like to apply for that. Could you please let me know whether I can change my role and file a new H1B amendment. I came to US on H1B visa on 18th Mar 2015 and my six year ends at on Mar 2021. Got my I140 approved on Dec 2017 for the SOC code: 15-1199. 

I completed my BSc CS & MSc IT from India and had 12 years for experience in the Software Engineering (QA)

Yes, Using your approved i140, your employer or a new employer would file an amendment/new petition and seek 3 years extension until your priority date is current..
