ss1992
Hi All, I have been arrested on April 30, 2018, for Assault and Simple Battery in Massachusetts. I was out of the country from May 8, 2018, to Aug 10, 2018, as I traveled out of the country due to an emergency at home and I have lost my father on May 11, 2018. Due to that I extended my stay and appeared in court on Aug 14, 2018 once I came back. I have been given pre-trial diversion in court and case got dismissed without arraignment on Nov 8, 2018, I served 3 months probation period, as part of it I did 20 hours of non-profit community service and took general counseling sessions(attended 3/4 sessions). In this period, I did receive an email from consulate saying that visa has been revoked on Aug 24, 2018, it's prudential visa revocation and I need to reapply for a visa when I travel out of the country. At this moment my concern is how my history of incidents is going to impact Post-OPT application, my status is still active and I am graduating this April. I have taken a paid consultation from an immigration attorney specifically for Post-OPT application, what are all the questions I should be asking him? I really appreciate your help, thank you for your time. Regards, SS Link to comment
care_candidate
Big doubt that you will get any help about this on this forum. Hired attorney would be best option. Link to comment
policy_wonk
Wrong forum, there is a criminal issues forum under special topics - post there, you'll get advice. Link to comment
