H1B Consular Processing

Hi,

Currently I am applying for H1B visa. I am getting paid very less by my client. So my employer says that my salary is not enough to apply to H1 and suggests me to apply through Consular process. Can someone tell me what are the actual differences between Change of Status and Consular Processing?

There is no Consular Processing for H1s. All His are processed by USCIS. It may be without change of status, i.e., consular notification.

But in either case, an H1 won't be approved if the salary is below the prevailing wage.

Find a better employer.
