Forum123 Posted March 4, 2019 Report Posted March 4, 2019 I have a priority date from July 2016 and I-140 approved in Feb 2017. When i moved to new company my employer request USCIS to revoke my petition. I joined the new company on 5/1/2017 but now when my new company is starting my GC process. Attorney is saying we cannot port my previous priority date. I read online that once I-140 is approved we can retain priority date for GC but not for H1b extensions.
