DS160 Have you ever been unlawfully present overstayed

Hi, I am filing up DS160 for my family. They overstayed in US for 67 days. Reason for delay was denial of my H1B, i had valid I94 but their I94 got expired. Their I94 expired on 23rd Oct and we got decision on Nov 20. We have to stay for some more time to complete my daughter high school semester. 

In DS 160 should I answer YES to Overstay, if YES, what reason should i give to satisfaction of Visa Officer?

I am in US is advisable to join them for their stamping?

Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks

You specifically state that they overstayed, why would you answer anything but Yes to that question?

Thanks, will it have any impact on their stamping? Also, if I join them for stamping, will it improve any chances?

A CO decides whether or not to issue a visa. Your family has to be truthful with the facts, irrespective of it's impact on a visa.

Hi @ASBHASKAR, I'd like to know how you proceeded with the DS-160? I have the same question, how do you specify the reason so that it is more than satisfactory?

Visit of my family is postponed for some time. I had not filled it up yet.
