AjayKA
Last August my H1B extension got denied and I have reapplied for extension, as my I94 was not expired. During that time, I got an admission from an university and I received the I20. The extension got approved when reapplied. I haven't applied for F1 to H1 change of status or attended the classes or orientation. Does the university reports to USCIS about the admission or does it stay in the reords. Do I have any impact in the future. Thanks. Quote Link to comment

No, I thought of converting the status from H1 to F1, but as my extension got approved, I haven't applied for the Change of status Quote Link to comment
giri26
I am not an expert but what you have done will come back to bite you in the future. It is never a good idea to take this path. The best thing would have been to leave the country and come back on new H1B visa once the petition was approved. Quote Link to comment
