Arunchandra
Hello, I got my EAD under AOS, which got expired in August end 2018. I had filed for renewal during mid-June 2018. It's been more than 6 months that I had applied for the EAD renewal-which exceeds the normal processing timeline from USCIS. I have contacted USCIS through online case inquiry since November 2018, and still, haven't gotten any reply. I called USCIS immigration officers regarding my case to follow up, but they didn't provide any updates, but rather asked me to wait. Though my EAD expired in August 2018, my AOS category allowed me to continue working for up to 180 days, i.e February 2019. Now, my current employer has already sent me a LAYOFF notice, which will be effective from March 1st, 2019. I want to hear any experiences/suggestions to know if are there any exceptions to grant EAD given the exceedance of USCIS timelines? Your comments/suggestions are appreciated. With gratitude, Arun Link to comment
