RFE on First H1B for Pay Checks of STEM OPT

Hi,

I applied for H1B this year and got an RFE. One of the document USCIS asked is my paychecks from start of STEM OPT to current date. My STEM OPT start on March 2016 and I got the job in March itself but the contract lasted for 20 days only and I am on bench for next 2 months and got a new job in June. I don't have pay checks from March to May 2016. How to respond to that requirement? Can I get a letter from my employer as unpaid training period? If that is one of the way, can some one help me with the letter template. My employer and lawyer doesn't have the idea how to fulfil that document. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you were on bench it wasn't training. Falsely claiming otherwise will get you into trouble.
