hariomj
Hello All, I would really appreciate some advice on this. I am planning to travel to Auckland, NZ for a vacation. Since my H1-B Stamping is pending, I'll need to go in for stamping again. I know is is advised to visit your home country for this but, I have also hear that after the first stamping is successfully done in your home country, it is generally safe to go to another country for stamping too. In short, I need to go to Auckland for stamping; I am an Indian citizen with H1-B with good Employer; already been stamped twice in Mumbai Is it okay to go to Auckland and apply for an interview. Did any one did H1-B stamping in Auckland? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Link to comment
rksingh
This answer can really only be answered correctly by the US Embassy in Auckland. Many embassies are known to limit their visa approvals to people who are normally resident in the country where the embassy is located...since you will only be a visitor in NZ, you may be treated differently. ***Obviously the US Embassies in Canada & Mexico are known exceptions to above general rule.
