H4 Dependent's VISA Sponsor change (From Father's H1B to Mother's H1B)

Hi,

My Kid has valid Visa or I-94 till 02/27/2020. Unfortunately my H1B transfer got denied and I need to go back to India soon. I sponsored H4 visa to my Kid, now I wanted to switch that H4 Visa to my Wife's H1B. 

Is it really necessary to apply for H4 main applicant change? 

If yes, what are the main points to be filled for this case while filling I-539 form. I think this is not Change of Status, changing main applicant (H1B) of Dependent VISA (H4).
