Place of Birth mismatch between BC and Passport

Hi

My birth certificate contains the place of birth as “R.R.N.H Vijayawada Krishna Dist”. My passport contains the place of birth as “Vijayawada AP”.

In the birth certificate, R.R.N.H refers to Hospital name and Vijayawada is a city in Krishna District.

In the passport, AP refers to the state of Andhra Pradesh in which the city Vijayawada is located.

Will this be a problem in the process of I485? Any clarification would be great help.

This should not impact your case. My wife's case is more critical. She is born in Nellore and she got the passport with Birth place in Bangalore and passport center in Bangalore. and it continued till date. I dont know what will happen later since all her documentation in USA showed she is born in Bangalore.
