UKP
Hi Experts/Anybody in my situation earlier, need your advice here. Right now I am on H1-B Visa(first year) and my company wants to start my green card processing(i-140). As per them it should take around 1 year to get I-140 done for me. However, I am Canadian PR Holder and plan to return back to Canada by december 2018 and get my Canadian passport(2 years from now). Considering long green card wait time for Indians, i want to keep option of working in USA on TN Visa(Which I become eligible after getting Canadian citizenship). Does starting green card process now and getting i-140 while I m on H1-B will impact my TN Visa chances any way in future. Appreciate all the help/suggestion/advice here Link to comment
JoeF
The TN doesn't allow immigration intent. A pending or approved I-140 shows immigration intent, though. So, it is rather unlikely you would get a TN. Link to comment
