vkong001
Hi All, I did my masters in USA and on H1B visa from 2010.I dont have H1B stamping as i did not travel out of country from the past 8 years. Now i am thinking of getting H1-B visa stamping in Vancouver , Canada. Reading the posts got the info that i cannot go to Mexico for stamping but can go to Canada. Please let me know if my understanding is correct and if that is not a good choice. Link to comment
NewUser18
@vkong001 why do you say you can not go to Mexico but you can go to Canada? I am also trying to find out what is the best place to get the visa stamping done and I went to Mexico in 2016 without any issues. Can you share the links you refereed to? Link to comment
venkatramrm@gmail.com
Mexico does not allow change of status stamping (F1 to H1B etc.,), Only allows stamping in same visa category Renewal. (F1 to F1) (H1B to H1B, H4 to H4 etc.,) Where as canada allows any of above. Link to comment
