Impact of misrepresentation on n400

While entering US from Canada, I was referred inside to get a new I94. I did not disclose to CBP officer that I will be going for job interview initially, and said that I am going for shopping. Upon further questioning, I told him that I am going for job interview. He made a note in the system about this conversation and told me to be honest and truthful in future. I want to check if any one was in similar situation and how they answer questions 31 and 32?

Can it impact my ability to become a USC?
