Mani1254
Hi I have returned from India and I got a violation of undeclared food - Form 591 in my checkin bag. Will it be a problem in any future H1B extensions. My employer havent started my GC process. Will it be any problem for the GC processing. Also should I be cautious in any future travel? Thanks Link to comment
vinodhts
I dont think so. You will be asked about if you are ever jailed etc. These violations are qualified for fines and confiscations of your items . It wont impact GC as for as i know. Link to comment
Provence
A single violation wouldn't affect any future visa processes, but certain food products are not allowed entry into the US. Whenever in doubt, declare. You're better off not carrying food products on future travels, as your passport number could have been flagged in the CBP database. Link to comment
