US_Immigrant
Hello All, My H1B 6 years will be expired on 3rd May'2018 and I94 date is 13th May'2018. My Perm is approved on 26th of March and copies yet to be received. As per my lawyer, as a next step they are going to submit I140 first since perm applied on Oct'2017 and then based I140 receipt they will file H1B extension for a year. My question is since I have only 33 days on my hand, will it be possible to apply for an H1B extension before May 3rd. Your early response will be highly appreciated. Lawyer has all my documents since they filed by recapture few months back. Link to comment
care_candidate
Apply premium I-140 with additional $1,225 and get result in 2 weeks. Once it is approved, apply quickly to H1b extension. While I-140 is in process in those 2 weeks, make sure to prepare all documentation required to submit for H1b extension. Then apply the very next day. Time is precious in your case. Link to comment
US_Immigrant
Thanks for your reply. My lawyer is suggesting apply extension with pending I-140, it looks like that is not feasible option. Link to comment
