Can i open LLC on H1B visa

Hi,

we 3 friends who all are on H1B visa ( WIth I140 approved) are planning to open LLC for investment purpose. Can you please advise if its legal to open LLC on H1, while reading several articles it says we can be passive partners, we cant perform any major activities. we need GC holder as CEO of company etc.

On H1, you can indeed only be a passive investor, i.e., putting money into a business and otherwise completely staying out of it.
