Jwgi
H1b visa. I-140 approved. Convicted for domestic violence misdemeanor. Q1) Is there an option to mention arrest record during H1b extension? I should be applying for extension by Dec 2018. Q2) I have had B1 visa, don't know whether it is a coincidence or not, ~4 months after the arrest B1 visa was revoked. US consulate sent an email to me stating the visa (MDR XXX ..) was revoked. Does this revoked B1 visa adds complication for my H1b extension? Edited March 13, 2018 by Jwgi Quote Link to comment
george_1990
I think you are good with H1B extension , But if you are convicted it will be a problem during VISA stamping. Quote Link to comment
JoeF
The form asks for it. Same for visa forms. Quote Link to comment

h1bpro1
Just to clarify....I spoke to Murthy's criminal law specialist on this. This is not asked during H1 extension form. The only place it is asked is in the H4 ead form. But that question is only applicable to the H4 person. The H1 person doesn't have to voluntarily disclose. If you get an RFE, you can respond. You def have to disclose in DS160. Quote Link to comment

If you get RFE isnt it that your employer then would know about it and that could cause a problem? Quote Link to comment

Johnturo
Was there any problem during H1B extension? I was convicted of misdemeanor m 243 e(1) PC. My extension was approved with valid I-94 after I was convicted and its good till 202. Anyone faced any issues in H1B extension? I know stamping can be an issue with details and various documents to carry. Quote Link to comment
