krishna1990
I want some advice with regards to my complicated story. Some background: 1) I have Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering 2) I started working in IT, and then moved to finance strategy after internal move 3) I got H1b Extension after 3 years without any trouble, but now I tried to switch and got an RFE on my H1B amendment. 4) I got RFE for Beneficiary Qualification and submitted an expert opinion letter, which triggered another RFE about the evaluator's experience. The new company pulled my offer , and decided to not respond to 2nd RFE and also didn't give me any docs or more details. Now, I am thinking a H1 xfer wont happen so better to do PERM/I-140 at current company. BUT I am worried that I will have same problems with education evaluation when I go for I-140? The PERM will be with occupation title 'Economist' and job advertisement is going to list 'Bachelors in Finance, Economics or Engineering, plus work experience' as the minimum requirement but I am not sure if this will suffice? Any advice would be appreciated. Link to comment
JoeF
The H1 job needs to be in your area of study. Same with the GC. Does the employer have a lawyer? I doubt that a lawyer would come up with that job advertisement. It would very likely generate RFEs Link to comment
satya2k1
I highly doubt that the Economist job position requires an engineering degree in Chemical engineering. That doesn't sound anyway close to reality. Hire a good immigration attorney. Good luck. Link to comment
