Ram1228
Hi, I went for h1b stamping recently, Visa officer asked why COS was denied from F1 CPT to H1 and I have mentioned don't know the reason and I did not have the copy of the h1b decision letter for COS denial during the interview. Gave 221g white slip asked me to submit the COS denial letter over email, received COS denial letter from employer; can you please let me know whether I should submit only the denial letter or along with supporting documents as well. (CPT I-20s, a letter from attorney about the below) Change of status was denied because of multiple years of practical training at same education level. Based on RFE CPT July 3rd, 2017 to July 2, 2018, dates mentioned: University renews CPT I-20 every quarter and university did not grant CPT for 1 year( July 3rd, 2017 to July 2018 ) and latest I-20 from the university for the current quarter was issued with end date with 25 March 2018; however, the RFE states July 3rd 2017 to July 2, 2018, additionally I never did CPT in previous my master degree. JoeF
Submit what the officer asked for. But with CPT that seems to have been illegal I think it will be very hard to get an H1 visa. Quote Link to comment
