buzzme123
I did my masters here in US back in 2008, Currently I'm on H-1B extension, responded to RFE this week, worst case planning to do another Masters if in case RFE got denied to maintain the status. Got University Admission for Day-1 CPT. My current I-94 and H-1B is expiring on Feb-02-2018.Please guide me on what is the process of converting status from H-1B to F1. Also, based on my i-94 expiry date, when do you think i can submit i-539 form for COS? Link to comment
JoeF
No real university gives out CPT from day one. Don't abuse CPT. And signing up with a fraud would only kill your future in the US. Stay far away from that fraud "university". And forget CPT. Cut that acronym out of your vocabulary. An F1 is for studying, not for working. Link to comment
Bhajagovindam
Well Said Joe F. I've been reading lot of posts about converting from H-1B to F1 and getting CPT on day1 and again back to H-1B at a later date. This will simply lead to H-1B denial in the future. Everyone under H-1B or F1 status who are in the above situation: Please understand the policies and procedures before taking such decision. If you're not aware of the rules, please consult a lawyer before making such decisions, this will save your future in the US. Link to comment
