Mr. Posted November 7, 2017 Report Posted November 7, 2017 Hello Experts, A fried of mine has his parents visiting USA and are leaving soon to their home country as they have their six months being completed now. But, my friend has actually fallen really sick recently and he wants his parents to stay back until he gets better. Would it be possible for him to apply for their extension after six months? If so, how prior they should apply for the extension before their I-94 expires? Thanks!
ravi k Posted December 27, 2017 Report Posted December 27, 2017 Hi Your Friend have the valid reason to apply for Visitor visa Extention . he can apply for extention stating that he is sick,he his parents take care of his health. you can apply before 6 months stay expires.

That won't work. The parents taking care of him would be work, which is not allowed for visitors. They can provide moral support, but that's it. This may sound harsh, but an extension would most likely get denied.
