H1B Visa Stamping experience in Ottawa (Canada)

Hello All,

Sharing my H1B Visa Stamping experience in Ottawa (Canada). I got lot of information from the Murthy community. I am thankful to all who shared their experiences, answered to my queries and gave me confidence. Its my time to give back to the community.

My Profile:
Bachelor Degree: B-Tech (4 Years) India
Masters Degree: 2 Years MS degree (USA)
OPT: worked with couple of companies for short period
H1B: 3rd H1B Renewal with same Employer
H1B Stamping: First H1B Stamping after Masters Degree (F1 to H1B)  

Visa Appointment: Oct 23 @ 09:15am.
Embassy didn't let me in before 09:15am. Very strict with the Appointment time
Went through the security Clearance
Document Verification
Finger Print
PIMS Verification
There were around 6-7 people in front of me and there were 2 counters opened for interview.

Called in by Male counselor.  I said Good Morning Sir. He said good Morning, Can I have your I-797 and Passport please and I gave him the documents(only new passport not the old passport)

Interview Questions:

VO: So you work with XXX company?
Me: Yes Sir

VO: Is this your First H1B?
Me: This is my third H1B

(started searching my passport)

VO: There is no previous H1B stamp. So this is your first H1B Stamping?
Me: Yes Sir, This is my first H1B stamping after F1 visa

VO: What is your roles and responsibilities with this company?
Me: Answered as per my role mentioned in LCA, Client Letter and Vendor Letter and answered my responsibilities

VO: Do you have an End Client?
Me: Yes Sir.

VO: Who is your client and do you have any document from them?
Me: Yes Sir, My client is XXX and I have client letter from them. (Provided him client Letter)

He started going through my client letter thoroughly

VO: So you work on same role with client as you work with your employer?
Me: Yes sir

make sure your role on LCA, client letter and vendor letter is same

VO: So your client is in XXX city?
Me: Yes Sir

VO: How long you are working with your company?
Me: 6+ Years

VO: What is your highest Degree?
Me: MS in XXX

VO: Where you did your Degree?
Me: Answered

He was reading something on his screen, he went back and started talking to other counselor. Looks like he was trying to verify something

VO: So your job duty with your company is XXXXXXXXX? (he mentioned some lines from my job responsibilities)
Me: Yes sir

VO: What is your Salary?
Me: XXX per annum (Answered my salary as per mentioned in my LCA. My salary is Wage1 salary in LCA but I am making much more than that)

VO: Can I have your couple of W2s?
Me: Gave him 2 W2s

VO: Your pay is much higher than you mentioned?
Me:  XXX per annum is my base salary. I get $XX/hr as performance incentives from my company

VO: Can I check your pay stubs please?
Me: gave him couple of pay checks

VO: Oh Ok, XXX per annum is your base salary...You are getting very good performance incentives....hmmmmm?
Me: Yes Sir, I am the critical resource on this project and have to put lot of efforts to accomplish my tasks. My company pays me well based on my performance.

...........and then the GOLDEN words..................

VO: Ok, I am approving your visa
Me: Thanks Sir.When I will get my passport back?

VO: 3 to 4 Days
Me: Ok, Thnakyou Sir. You have a nice day

OCT 23 09:15am: Interview
OCT 23 11:00am: Administrative Processing
OCT 24 10:00am: Visa Issued
OCT 24: 11:00am: Electronic information submitted by shipper
OCT 24: 03:16pm:Shipment picked up by Canada Post
OCT 25: 10:13am:Item available for pickup at Post Office
