NeedHelpForMom
My Mom is 80 years old. She is an independent woman and has sizable property in India. She has recently been falling ill very often and has no one to take care of her. My sisters are in different countries and are indifferent. I have a Green card but its going to be another 3 years before I get citizenship to sponsor Family GC. What options do i have to bring my mom to the US ASAP? thanks! Link to comment
directory0818
visitor visa is the only option. After 6 months, give a gap of 3-4 months (i.e return to home country) and bring her again. With ill health its recommended to stay in home country as the health insurance coverage in usa is non-sense and you end up paying more from out of pocket. Link to comment

With such a short gap, there would be a big risk of denial of entry. Not a good idea to take that risk, in particular for an elderly person. She has to be more abroad than in the US, otherwise there would be suspicion of immigration intent, which is not allowed for visitors. Ultimately, it may be the best for the OP to move to his/her home country to care for the mother. Link to comment
