Adi77 Posted October 3, 2017 Report Posted October 3, 2017 L2 EAD is valid until 05/2019. I got my H1B approved effective 10/2017. Can I choose to use the L2 EAD first and switch to H1B at a later point in time.
JoeF Posted October 3, 2017 Report Posted October 3, 2017 If the H1 was a COS, you are now in H1 status, and you have to start working for the H1 employer. The L2 and the EAD are invalid now.
Adi77 Posted October 3, 2017 Author Report Posted October 3, 2017 Thank you JoeF. How do I know if my H1 is a COS. My I94 record shows L2 as on date. I am working with the same employer. Its just the H1b got approved now. I was working with an L2 EAD earlier.
