H1B Stamping in Merida, Mexico for TCN?

Hi all,

I just received approval for my H1b extension. Instead of going to my home country, I was hoping to go to the Merida, Mexico U.S Consulate for stamping in September. I couldn't find information about whether they accept TCN for H1b visa interviews and stamping. Anyone had any recent experience in the last year? 

I have emailed and called the consulate and haven't gotten a clear answer. They keep sending me website links that don't have the information. 

Help would be appreciated!

Hello,

Merida Consulate is not processing Third county National visas anymore. They stopped it just 1 year ago.

Try going to MEXICO CITY or MERIDA , guadalajara

we can go to renew in the same visa category and cannot apply in a different category.
