jerry20092009
Hi, just curious if anyone can help to answer this. I got my I-140 approved last year and I'm about to finish my 6 years H1b in November. My employer is working on extending my H1b, however, due to a prevailing wage hike just posted this month per foreign labor certification data center (50% increase on my current salary, and ~30% on my approved PERM), my employer may want to choose a different SOC code in a totally different field to apply for the extension for the same position as on the PERM in order to keep the wage low. Will this pose any threat to the H1b renewal? How likely will this be to cause a denial? Link to comment
