manishqs
I am planning to attend H1 visa stamping interview in first week of October in Hyderabad, i have approved I797 till 2013. But, when my employer filed h1 petition i was working with client A and now i am in a different project with client B. Since my client is changed, do my employer need to file I129 amendment and if so, can i travel to India with approved H1 and I129 amendment receipt or do i need to wait till i get a decision for I129 amendment. Please respond as it is urgent. Link to comment

leo_maverick
It's good to have an updated I-129 to hold a good chance of getting VISA stamped. Link to comment
Atlantan
manishqs. It depends on luck and VO to give visa. You can go to stamp even without ammendment H1 petition.Ammedment receipt is not enough and VO may not consider that as valid. It must be approved to consider that ammendment is valid. Link to comment
manishqs
I cant wait till I129 amendment is approved, since i need to go to India urgently, so there are 2 options 1. To go for stamping with amendment receipt 2. To go without amendment. Which one is the better option.? Link to comment
Atlantan
1. To go for stamping with amendment receipt 2. To go without amendment. This is very tuff to predict. It all depends on VO at visa time. 1. To go for stamping with amendment receipt -chance to win 50.5% 2. To go without amendment.chance to win 49.5% Link to comment
