Cap exempt h1 & Stem

Hello,

i am joining an organization which is cap exempt but not e-verified. They are  filing for my h1 and it should get approved in 3 months best case.

my opt end date is (09/01). Since I would not have my h1 result by then I am planning to search another e-verified employer and file for my stem extension.

I will have to update my university with the end date of my cap exempt employer so that I can file for my stem.  

Will doing this effect my h1 or stem pending application decision. Since my SEVIS will show that I am no longer with the employer who filed for my h1?
