H1 B OOC

Hi,

My company filed for H1 B in 2006 which was approved; however due to personal reasons I didn't travel to US and never had my visa stamped. In 2013 same firm applied for L1-A which was approved and I am currently in US.

My query is

 - Can I change my status back to H1?

 - If so, can it be done only through my employer which applied for my H1 originally, or can it be done through another employer as well?
