Regarding Travelling To Canada Still Status Change is Pending i.e COS from H4 To F1

Hello,

I am currently on H4. Got my canada visitor visa approved. I am planning to travel to canada this week. I have applied for F1 i.e. change of status since last 1 and half month. Hence I got to know from friends that I cannot travel out of US when COS is applied. They generally take 3 months time for COS. I have checked my COS its still in initial review.

My H4 visa is valid till 2013. I have stamping of valid H4 on my passport.

Please let me know as soon as possible.
