Query on new H1 with old approved petition

Hi,

I was working for company A in India and company B filed a petition for H1 in April 2016. I got L1B from company A and moved to US in June 2016. I asked company A not to pursue my H1. However my H1 petition got approved till Dec 2017. I never went back to India, neither its stamped.

Now, company B is planning to file a fresh H1 petition for me in April 2017. I hesitate to tell my current company that another company (B) applied for my H1 last year and its in approved state.

Would it be a problem not to mention ? What will happen if i dont mention and they file a fresh H1 petition ?

Please let me know, i dont have much time left.
