Temporary suspension of premium processing from April 3, 2017.

Hello All,

Any one please provide some clarity who are all affected with temporary suspension of premium processing from April 3, 2017?

My current H1B (I-140 approved) is getting expired in few months and I'm thinking to apply extension in premium mode. The info below in the link is bit ambiguous though:

In this link they mentioned "This temporary suspension of premium processing does not apply to other eligible nonimmigrant classifications filed on Form I-129."

I129 IS used for other temp work visas besides h1b..

PP can still be used until April 3rd for H1B...

To be more precise, shall I submit my H1B extension (I-140 already approved 3 years ago) on PP mode even after April 3, 2017 ?

you can apply for H1 extension six months prior to expiry..u didn't mention exactly when does your current H1 expire?

My H1 expires end of June this year. I came to know that suspension applicable to all H1B holders regardless of type.

the suspension is effective april 3rd...so your H1B extension can be applied right away under PP..as simple as that...

Hello all. My  husband h1b extension is getting expired on September 1st 2017.Hence we need to renew h1b, h4 and also h4 ead. Since pp is getting stopped from April 3rd. Iso it possible to do pp now on March 15th or later.
